The purpose of the project is the development of an integrated framework for the support of Opportunistic Spectrum Access (OSA) in advanced wireless communications systems. The individual mechanisms that will be developed will exploit the Cognitive Radio Technology, which is the basis of OSA. The integrated framework will target to the coordination of the individual mechanisms that will be designed for each OSA operation, aiming to achieve improved performance. The individual mechanisms and the integrated framework to be developed will be compared with the most effective proposals of the literature.
